Abercrombie and Fitch in London

Today I went to the new A&F store in London. Just off of New Bond Street. First of all, unless you really know the address, you won't find it. It does not have a name outside the shop. However, you will certainly notice the loud music and some cute male models standing outside the door.
This A&F is so much different than the American A&F. It is set on 2 floors and its is dark inside and spot lights are on the clothes (but you can still find it a bit difficult to read the sizes). The music is very loud and gives you the feel of being in a night club rather than a shop. Nearly half naked models walk around. Some dance on the top floor "balcony". You can get your photo taken (when you leave the store) with 2 half naked male models with 6 packs. The clothes are normal khaki American, a bit OC like...however, if you want to try them and buy what you like, you might want to think about sparing an hr for that alone (at least on a Saturday). I waited 25 mins to try 6 items. They only had 5 dressing rooms for such a big store. I was told there was few downstairs but it was so dark, I must have missed them! My dressing room door wouldn't close so the male model on duty decided to help out. He forced it and it closed! After trying my clothes on, I decided on a top but the door won't open. The music was very loud so initially no one heard my knocks. Finally they heard me when I really banged on the door with the wooden hangers! It took them a while to get me out and by that time I had lost my desire to stand in yet another que (average waiting time was about 40 mins) and handed back the item to the models. They looked offended that I didn't buy anything but whatever. Somewhere in the dark rooms I found my friend waiting for me and together we exited the A&F store.
Overall: Some clothes were nice - I think the men's collection was much better than the women's. The darkness, the loud music, the insane idea of making models dance around was a bit of a draw back.

Tony Blair does comic relief

LOL LOL!!! I love the Private Eye folks. They come up with some funny captions. Hope everyone is having a great Friday. It is absolutely miserable today here in London. It sucks because we always get this type of weather just in time for the weekend! and on Mondays it usually clears up and stays gorgeous throughout the week only to revert back to this crappy weather in time for the weekend!
I have some very very busy weekends coming ahead for me!! Either I am away or someone is visiting me all the way through to mid June!! Not bad :-) me likes it!
Have a fun weekend! I have some shopping to do tomorrow - think I need some new clothes for work.

London is the world's capital of 21st century

Splendid news!!

Silver tights hurt my eyes! OUCH!!

Umm Charolotte Church is pregnant and getting married next month if anyone cares!
On to something different. Did anyone watch the FA cup quarter final with Chelsea and Hot Spurs? Chelsea won...which sucked but for me the highlight was the constant booing of Cashley Cole (oops not again, sorry I meant Ashley Cole)..

I have been a little bit hooked to this social site called Stureplan. It is the Stockholm's "happening place". Anyway, this girl called Elin Kling does not fail to entertain me in her weekly "fashion column". Maybe something is wrong with my judgement but all I see every week is almost the same outfit and just with a different coloured tights! I really hope that "fashion followers" do not follow her because its just that the tights aren't even that special. They are hideous!! Anyway, Here is a photo of her and a link to her column. Be amused!

Mr Bond

I still think Christian Bale is HOT!! but Daniel Craig also wins my admiration :-) He is so cute! I loved Casino Royale...actually its one of the movies that all the girls that I know loved! This is what Bond should look like! :-)

Kimi Kimi Kimi!!!

Yes! Kimi Raikkonen is on pole position! At last!!! I really hope he wins tomorrow. He has got great talent and he is a fighter so I have no doubt that he will give his all to win. I miss Michael Schumacher but I am hoping Kimi is going to keep the Ferrari pride alive!
UPDATE: Kimi won! woohoo!! but his limelight was stolen by the newcomer Lewis Hamilton. He is labelled the "Tiger Woods of Formula 1". He was great and aggressive. I just hope this wasn't some beginners' luck. Otherwsie he could easily become the "Tim Henman of Formula one" (i.e. never wins anything major!) :-)

Season of scandals

Its a season of scandals on both sides of the pond! The Libby conviction in US and the probably conviction of Lord Levy here for cash for honour scandal? Anyway found this rather amusing cartoon from a pretty cool website that I just discovered!

The Illusionist

I watched The Illusionist last night and I loved it! I preferred it to The Prestige. Worth watching! I think Edward Norton rules. I watched another movie last week: Hot Fuzz. It wasn't that funny and it a bit OTT...
I am going out to have a Sunday roast! Have a nice day!

Stock markets turmoil explained

So like the majority of ordinary citizens I had questions of my own about the recent events at the stock markets around the world. This is a pretty easy to understand Q&A from the good old folks at the BBC.
